What is it about?
In this short paper three different archaeological sites which are located in the southern part of the Roman province of Noricum, in the region of Carinthia in southern Austria, are presented. Each selected site is an example of activities related to cult and/or superstitious beliefs.

Why is it important?
This paper shows that not only stone monuments and temple floor plans, but also the contextual evaluation of so-called small finds can enrich our knowledge of »cult« and »superstition« in the Roman era.
