What is it about?
I share four stories that show me living my values and improving my practice: - mentoring relationship that evolved into a culture of inquiry - evaluation of a Superintendent of Education by her principals - significance of visuals to explain values - loving students into learning: encouraging Masters’ students to see their values as standards to assess their practice In the stories I hope that I show how I have contributed a living legacy of responsibility, of commitment to growth and improvement and of loving others into learning.

Why is it important?
This work is unique in that values are used as standards to assess whether we are improving our practice and living our values more fully. Building relationships with learners is proposed as a means to improve and deepen learning by loving them into learning.
Perspectives
In our current world, it appears essential that we each commit to improving ourselves and our world in our circles of influence. The question is, How can I improve myself and my world?
