The article answers the questions of extraterritorial application of laws and regulations in accordance with Vietnamese law. It analyzes Vietnam's attitude towards extraterritorial application of laws and regulations, as well as the influence of multilateral or regional instruments on extraterritorial application of laws or regulations in this country.

This is the first systematic study on the extraterritorial application of laws and regulations in Vietnam from the perspective of comparative law.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. It is also an opportunity to highlight scientific cooperation between researchers and to promote the visibility of Vietnamese law in the world.
