What is it about?
In this chapter, the authors explain how they use vignettes as a tool for reflection and evaluation in the training of educators. They explain the methodology of vignette research and how vignettes have developed as professionalization tools. Further, they outline the content of training modules for current and future educators and discuss challenges that can arise when training participants to become knowledge multipliers.

Why is it important?
This chapter highlights the importance of research for the professionalization of (future) educators. It provides an innovative approach to the training of pre-service and in-service teachers as well as other educators, and emphasizes the crucial role of teachers and teacher educators as researchers.
Perspectives
Each vignette, as one student, Iris, writes, overwhelms the reader with the possible perspectives that emerge and challenges their certainties and particular views on things. As (future) educators become more and more immersed in the method, especially in the writing and discussion phases of the vignettes, they realize how often they have looked without seeing, always guided by their habitus and fixed routines.
