What is it about?
Political friendships in 4th c. BC Athens projects firmly the idea that real policy (Real Politik) have to avoid making fixed relations and politicians have to adjust their policy according to the need of the time. This conclusion comes from the close examination if Demosthenes, Aeschines, Eubulus adn Philocrates towards Philip in the 2nd half of the century.

Political friendship in 4th c. BC Athens dominated by fluidity and ephemeral plans may explain similar contemporary political situations, in which the main cast is of personalities dominated by adaptability and versatility.
