What is it about?
This article tackles a fundamental problem in Hobbes’s moral theory – namely, the problem of risk and trust – which remains underexplored in the literature. I use this basic problem to elucidate the special question of what kind of dipositions motivate Hobbesian individuals to seek peace in the state of nature.
