What is it about?
This article explores the influence of race ideas in Brazilian political thought. Drawing from the race theories of two Brazilian thinkers, Gilberto Freyre and Oliveira Vianna, it shows how race ideas can provide a hierarchical image of society, as well as a democratic and inclusive one.
