What is it about?
Giuseppe Ros, an Italian diplomat to the Republic of China ( 1912-1949) and also an outstanding book collector. During his stay in China, he collected a large number of rare books which has been little known. The paper reveals the features of the collection as well as where these books are now.

This paper offers an insight on the usually neglected figure of Giuseppe Ros by outlining the main features of his outstanding collection of books.
Perspectives
It was a great pleasure to write this article, which enables me to establish long-term cooperation with researchers at the University of Naples “L’Orientale”, and ultimately leads me to a greater involvement in international Sinology research.
