Why is it important?
In XXIst century, political regimes become more dependent on mass media, and vice versa. Failed democratization of Russia provided a few crystal clear examples of an authoritarian restoration of the principles that look abandoned: censorship, cadre management, clientelle etc.
Perspectives
As a collaboration with my younger colleagues, this work provides a combination of academic assessment, personal and collective memoir and explanatory theory.
