What is it about?
The digital world is changing how we live, work, and connect. Information, goods, and services now move globally at incredible speeds, affecting communities everywhere. Youth ministers need to keep up with these changes to stay meaningful to young people. This article argues for strategic foresight as a critical leadership competency to better anticipate and navigate future changes. It answers three key questions:_x000D_ _x000D_ 1. Why is there a need for strategic foresight?_x000D_ 2. What is strategic foresight, and what is it not?_x000D_ 3. How can strategic foresight be developed?_x000D_ _x000D_ The main point is simple: youth ministers need to develop strategic foresight to spot social changes early and prepare their ministry for what's coming. This helps them serve young people better in a fast-changing world.
