What is it about?

Each generation is shaped by historical and social circumstances. Therefore, each one is a little different. This is also true of their religious beliefs and their relationship to the Church. Tabita Landová, a practical theologian at the Evangelical Theological Faculty of Charles University in Prague, addresses the question of the faith of the generation of today's youth in the Czech Republic. Czechia is characterized by a high level of secularization. Are the expectations that religious faith will increasingly disappear in each generation coming true? And how do Czech practical theologians reflect on the current situation of the Czech youth? What do they see as the goals of pastoral and catechetical work with youth? What do they emphasize? Landová addresses these issues in her study entitled “What Does Generation Z Believe? The Religiosity and Spirituality of Contemporary Czech Youth in Practical-Theological Reflection“.
