Why is it important?

James Scambary, our friend and colleague, advances a new explanation for post-conflict violence in the new nation of Timor-Leste since its independence from Indonesian occupation. In this article his colleagues discuss and analyse his argument to honor his passing.

Perspectives

I thought James was one of smartest guys I knew who undertook his work because of his great respect and affection for the ordinary Timorese, who still face many difficulties and challenges and this is what James was dedicated to addressing.
