What is it about?
This article argues in favour of the protection of the rights of migrants.

Why is it important?
First, migrants and their culture(s) are beneficial to the cultural heritage of receiving States. Second, the prejudices that fuel diffidence and fears of migrant communities and their culture(s) must be challenged. Third, migration has a powerful creative side, in the sense that, as proved by history, many of the achievements of our societies - including in the artistic field - are interrelated to past diasporas.
Perspectives
This article aims at contributing to the overall debate about the rights of migrants.
