This article provides a case study of local people's reflections on oil companies' Corporate Social Responsibility performance in Utqiaġvik, Alaska. This aticle collects interview data from the residents and provides recommendations to oil companies' future operations.

This article obtains perspectives from the local community members regarding oil activities. The findings show that local people should be able to influence the types of CSR activities corporations pursue, given that they experience the local impacts of the industry.
