Environmental adaptation in language

What is it about?

In this paper we argue that language can change to fit the environment. We argue that this can happen if some ways of speaking about the environment are more helpful for the speakers of the language than others. We describe the research design of the Nahuatl Space Project which tests this hypothesis.
