What is it about?

History is recorded and interpreted by people to explain their present and project their future. Events of the past are not only a sphere of knowledge, but of emotions as well. There are means to change the emotional perceptions of historical events by individuals and groups, to transform a hero into a villain and vice versa.

Why is it important?

There have been many valuable works on the history of emotions. The present article chooese a different view and traces how emotional perception of a historical event may change through the centuries and how it may be changed to serve political means.

Perspectives

I hope my article will bring something new to the people who are interested in history and its interpretations.
