The success of Arab documentary films have been impactful over the past few year, it is important to map the role of these films and how upcoming young Arab filmmakers are taking centre stage, how do these films connect with audiences and how can we see these connections in a different light ?

A lot of misconceptions exist about the Middle East and North African region and its people, the fact that Arab documentaries are getting more and more popular indicates that the voices from this region are getting louder.
