The “Pluralistic” Contexts of Four Sets of Chrysostom’s Homilies on the Letters of the Apostle Paul

What is it about?

The four sets of Chrysostom's exegetical homilies examined in this article provide enough evidence proving that the preacher was not in favour of a pluralistic society in the modern sense of this term. He was not an advocate for tolerance of diversity or even for harmony between peoples of different beliefs either, even though he praised the superior practices of Hellenes and Jews as a rhetorical mean to exhort his own congregation to do better.
