What is it about?

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan has been a volatile issue of dispute between the two countries for quite some time now. In 2020, the matter of the rights of ethnic minorities in this region reached the International Court of Justice (ICJ). This paper examines whether or not the ICJ has jurisdiction over the dispute. It also goes on to examine obligations of the two nations under ARSIWA and CERD.
