What is it about?

In this paper, we aim to explore the dynamic relations between Poles and Silesians and the consequences of those relations on public law. We first address the rise of the ethnoregionalist movement in Upper Silesia. Then, we analyse more general issues connected to the recognition of social groups by law. Lastly, we analyse ethnopolitics in Poland in relation to Upper Silesia, especially in the context of national identity. We would also like to note that this study does not encompass the situation of other ethnic and national groups (minorities) in Poland.
