What is it about?

The legality and effectiveness of any other referendum under the occupied regime in Nagorno-Karabakh to create the new Republic of Artsakh is a matter of controversy. To obtain a more detailed picture of the case, the legality of the last referendum to create the new Republic of Artsakh in Nagorno-Karabakh and changing its political system to presidential system within the context of uti possidetis juris principle, and compatibility of the referendums held in Nagorno-Karabakh with the principle of territorial integrity and finally the effectiveness of the referendum based on the secession and the right to self-determination has been examined in this research.
