This article situates and analyses the ongoing theological conversations between Lutherans and Pentecostals in Sweden. Drawing upon the academic fields of systematic theology, church history, and mission studies it focuses specifically on the dialogue's choice of working methods and topics discussed over the last decade.

Why is it important?

This article fills an important gap as the ecumenical conversations between Lutherans and Pentecostals across the globe are fairly under researched. Moreover, by linking a national dialogue in Sweden with a similar, though not identical, process on a global level the article offers a new perspective on the ecumenical quest for Christian unity.
