Why is it important?
According to leading religious demographers, Pentecostals, Charismatics, and neo-Charismatics (after Catholics) now constitute the second largest category of Christians in the world. The Society for Pentecostal Studies is the leading academic society discussing the history of and ongoing concerns within the Pentecostal, Charismatic, and neo-Charismatic movements.
