Regardless of their efforts to make a living, many single mothers in rural North Central Vietnam find themselves unable to improve their income and reduce poverty

Why is it important?

Our findings show that the single mothers are constantly made aware of their marital status as a social deficiency and an economic obstacle, and they keep referring to married life as the ideal of family life
