What is it about?
It is about the writings of four Saud female writers: Nura al-Saad, Suhaila Zain al-Abedin, Fowziyah Abu Khalid and Wajeha al-Huwaider's. What does it tell us about Saudi change, Islamic discourse, Women activism and whether we can call that feminism.

Why is it important?
Saudi women's writings are rarely studied internally and through a long period of time. This study tried to give a perspective of the intellectual development of the writers through three decades at least. It is important because it shows that Saudi women are not one thing and the don't stay where they are all their lives.
Perspectives
As a writer myself, and activist, but after all, an academic who specializes on women's history, i write this article as part of documenting and studying forgotten aspects of my society that could change a great deal of stereotyping.
