Why is it important?

It argues that nonviolence must be seen as possible before people will use it. In the age of globalization, more people are able to watch, in real time, the effects of nonviolent movements.

Perspectives

I hope this article contributes to and honors those who are trying to reduce the amount of violence in the world through their own nonviolent resistance to oppression and injustice. I also hope that it challenges the view that violence is inevitable in human and global affairs.
