What is it about?
As an invasive species, pine wood nematode Bursaphelenchus xylophilus has caused serious economic losses in China. The process of pine wood nematodes from infecting pine trees to causing pine trees to wither and die is very rapid. There are few reports on how pine wood nematodes adapt to environmental changes. Here, we studied the effects of different fungi, population density and nutrition on the growth and development of pine wood nematodes, which has certain significance for understanding the population changes of pine wood nematodes in the natural infection cycle.
