Further evidence for diversification within the Diogenes pugilator complex (Anomura, Diogenidae) in the Mediterranean and Black Seas

Despite the growing interest in the study and conservation of biodiversity worldwide, approximately 90% of all species remain undescribed or unrecognized. Further research on the hidden biodiversity within the hermit-crab genus Diogenes reveals the existence of a new species that inhabits the north-central and northeastern Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea.
