Why is it important?

Harald Weinrich's work had a tremendous impact on BIblical Studies. It also provided a theoretical basis for the broadly usedOpen Source ETCBC database of the Hebrew Bible.

Perspectives

I was puzzled by the question: how can one monograph from the 1960s have such a tremendous field of Biblical Hebrew studies? Had it a similar impact on other disciplines? Are there further developments in text linguistics that Biblical Scholars should take into account?
