What is it about?

In Summer 2016, GOP rhetoric emphasized end-time messianism and many types of logic fallacy. The Creation Museum and Ark Experience (both in rural Kentucky) catechize visitors in these forms of thinking in compelling and entertaining ways. Biblical literalism, bolstered by querulous pseuo-science, stands in for empirical observation and critical thinking.

Why is it important?

American voters are influenced by a wide variety of sources, many of which are politically non-partisan. Understanding how some of these operate on adults as well as children--specifically, within the "Experience Economy"--shows the maifinying power of installation-based performance and museology to influence the public's capacity for evaluating evidence and mounting critique.
