What is it about?
Dental extractions were performed in the maxilla without removing of reactive soft tissue from the alveolar site. Post-extraction bone healing around the alveoli was evaluated at 4 months and compared with initial bone level present before extractions

Why is it important?
Three dimensional radiological examination showed bone gain in post-extraction alveolar sites and bioptic examination confirmed for vital bone formation
Perspectives
The use of this protocol is pointed to preserve bone volume after maxillary extractions
