Why is it important?
Anti-TNF agents are the most efficacious therapy for Crohn's disease, while they may cause an increased risk of infections and cancers. Therefore, it would be very helpful if we can identify patients who do not need these drugs anymore once achieving remission.
Perspectives
It may not be reasonable for patients with such a chronically progressive disease to stop the therapy which was effective to achieve remission, regardless of their current status.
