What is it about?

Why is it important?

Five independent mortality predictors were identified:: age of 75 years or older, coronary artery disease, cerebrovascular disease with hemiplegia, time of nephrology care before dialysis, and serum albumin levels. This score represents a simple tool that can beo appliedy in daily practice to guide patient care.

Perspectives

We hope that the results of this work may help to inform patients and their families about the options of treatment of advanced kidney disease and provide a more patient-centered overall approach to care.
