Variations in the blood supply of the nose
What is it about?
A detailed angiographic study of the blood supply of normal individuals with no nasal complaints. The aim was to map the different variations in the arterial supply of the nose for targeted embolisation or ligation in selected cases.
Why is it important?
The importance is to know the different arterial patterns for the proper vascular control in tumours or during the control of intractable epistraxis
