What is it about?
This study targeted a rare observation that occur in male children, where they may have a long-standing stone in the urethra. This state may occur due to different factors inside or outside the body.

Why is it important?
It is important because the neglected urethral stones may result in serious complications such as vesicoureteral reflux.
Perspectives
Our perspective is that long-standing urethral stones should be expected in cases unresolved lower urinary tract symptoms in male children who may have apparently normal urinary tract. Simple routine investigations including KUB films and abdominal ultrasonography should be employed initially. Urethrocystoscopy is the final work up and it is the most accurate in diagnosis of these cases.
