What is it about?
The paper reports a patient who had three recurrences of a type of kidney disease that responded to treatment but did not respond to pretreatment on two occasions. She did respond completely to a third type of treatment.

Why is it important?
Unique because of failure to respond to treatments to which she had previously responded on two separate occasions, but did respond to a third type.
Perspectives
This exemplifies that we are still using empiric therapy without attacking specific causes of this and many other diseases because the true causes remain unknown. Further research is necessary.
