Perspectives
Apathy is a frequent yet underrecognized syndrome in neurology, marked by loss of motivation distinct from depression. Seen in AD, PD, MS, FTD, and stroke, it worsens outcomes and caregiver burden. Early detection with apathy and nonpharmacological strategies like exercise, CST, rTMS are key.
