What is it about?
we describe a rare type of tumour found in the chest which was successfully treated by surgical excision and chemotherapy. this tumour is called teratocarcinoma. it is a malignant tumour.

Why is it important?
a few cases like this tumour described in literature. we believe a good approach in managing this type of tumour will give the patient a long survival rate.
Perspectives
As a pathologist I am so proud with my team to find the right diagnosis to this type of tumour and accordingly the right management. it was a challenge to me to reach final diagnosis with application of certain tests called immunohistochemistry markers which help us to correct diagnosis and the right therapy.
