What is it about?

A low-temperature synthesis of TiO2 nano-powders through the reverse micelle approach was followed to obtain single-crystalline anatase phase with almost equal particle size and crystallite size.

Why is it important?

It was found that by simply prolonging the sol-gel reflux time in the reverse micelle approach, nanocrystalline anatase particles of high surface area value and large pore volume and enhanced enhanced photocatalytic performance are obtained without any further thermal treatment.
