What is it about?
Gut microbiota is implied in obesity, and in the regulation of behavior. Eligible patients were randomly divided into three groups: psychobiotics oral suspension group (POSG); dietary treatment group (DTG); combined treatment group (CTG). Significant changes in body composition parameters in each group were relieved after all treatments, although these changes were greater in the POS and CT groups. We think that POS intake represents a good approach to solve problems related to obesity and behavior disorders, even wider clinical trials need before definitive conclusions.

Why is it important?
Despite the limitations of our study, related to the study design and the low sample size, our results highlighted that intake of selected psychobiotics represents a good approach to solve the problems related to obesity and behavior disorders.
Perspectives
Contributing to the realization of this work was important for me, both for what I learned from the collaboration with the other co-authors, and because I believe that this method is among the most effective in solving one of the problems that most affect public health in the so-called industrialized countries.
