Why is it important?

Our study reported that the mandibular deviation resulting in chin deviation towards contra-lateral side should be considered in orthodontic treatment planning and evaluation of facial asymmetry patients. The variation of morphological landmarks in PA cephalograms together with functional analysis might be considered as the sign of temporomandibular disorder.
