What is it about?
The title is rather broad, but the article focusses on the measurement of arsenic compounds in rice. In particular, results for the measurement of the different arsenic compounds (inorganic and organic) in the certified reference material NIST SRM 1568A are collected and analyzed.

Why is it important?
All rice contains carcinogenic inorganic arsenic compounds. The concentrations are sufficiently high that the introduction of regulation are under serious consideration in some countries. Such regulations are underpinned by the ability of the chemical measurement community to deliver accurate results for the determination of the relevant compounds.
