Why is it important?

It provides research insight for future research directive suggestions such as how loading can affect and improve the bandwidth for wide-band and UWB antennas and how it can keep the antenna dimensions miniaturized while sustaining the antenna characteristics.


A review concerning broadband, multiband, and UWB antennas for wireless communication systems was performed in this paper. Geometries, materials, design solutions, and numerical tools adopted for the analysis and design were discussed. Several types and shapes of antennas useful for communication applications were also presented.
