Why is it important?
The degradation of the resin-dentine interface leads to loss of marginal integrity, making it prone to secondary caries and tooth sensitivity. It is important to know what factors affect the performance of the hybrid layer and strategies to improve it perfomance.
Perspectives
This paper shows the state of art on dentin bonding. Due to this unresolved problem, it is necessary to continue with the search for new substances and techniques that can be used in a clinical protocol to improve the stability of the resin-dentin bonding interface, with which more durable adhesive restorations can be obtained.
