What is it about?

It is about detecting Alzheimer's disease in the early stage using the sMRI image. Here, we have used Cortical and Subcortical features for early prediction of AD or MCI. Moreover, we have used three different kinds of the classifier, in our case softmax classifier achieve the better result for every classification problem

Why is it important?

It is important because, 2014 Alzheimer's disease shows that by 2050, 60-70% more people will be affected by Alzheimer's disease. That's way, early detection of AD is beneficial for the patients.

Perspectives

First, I would like to thanks my professor to provide me the opportunity to work on this project. While writing and doing this experiment I felt that AD has now become the main problem in elderly people. As we know still there is no perfect biomarkers for early prediction of this disease. We think that our method might help physicians to early prediction of AD or MCI. We also think that still there are lots of things in which we have to do research.
