What is it about?
Aluminide coatings were formed by the slurry method (very simple method) with different parameters (time, temperature of annealing and ratio of Al to Si in the slurry).

Why is it important?
The function of aluminide coatings is the protection of the equipment components against the high-temperature corrosion in a carburising atmosphere under thermal shock conditions.
Perspectives
It is possible to apply aluminide coatings on the material of the equipment of furnaces for thermo-chemical treatment.
