This paper explains an autism case report in a patient with recurrent psychosis triggered by stress. A brief review of CADPS2 gene function and its link to pshychosis and association with autism spectrum disorders is discussed.

The genetic testing in autistic patients and reporting cases like these are relevant once there are few publications about it and discuss a possible psychotic symptom ethiology.

Perspectives

We hope it can stimulate basic research about psychosis and in future more psychiatric diagnosis are made by biomarkers.
