What is it about?

Biofilms form on materials. Electrochemical measurements are one of the exemplary methods. However, the instantaneous and in-situ measurements are still lacking from a practical viewpoint. We began to solve the problem in this paper.

Why is it important?

When we compare the antibacterial effect of materials with the anti-biofilm one, the latter is time-dependent. Therefore, in-situ measurement is critical. To realize the measurement, we need an electrochemical method.

Perspectives

The realization of in-situ measurements for biofilms is generally a challenging task. Therefore, the paper is just the beginning of the big project. We will continue to develop suitable measurement systems.
