What is it about?

This paper describes the following classes of antihypertensives: thiazide diuretics, renin angiotensin aldosterone system inhibitors, beta blockers, and calcium channel blockers. It starts off by describing the level of evidence needed to determine between class and within class differences and then reviews each class of antihypertensive and the evidence within each class that there are similarities or differences in action and outcomes.
