What is it about?

HASIGN is a visual framework for designing how people and multiple autonomous vehicles work together in manufacturing settings. In hybrid human-robot teams, it captures each agent's role, how they communicate, how information flows between them, and temporal context including past and present states, and future intent. This helps make complex factory interactions easier to design, analyze, and understand in one unified representation.

Why is it important?

The human-robot hybrid teams in manufacturing are increasingly complex, and therefore, HASIGN provides a structured way to represent the system. HASIGN makes the design space explicit. It captures the roles of humans and robots, modalities of their interactions, and temporal information. It is a tool to present a unified representation of such systems while facilitating analysis, comparison and systematic design of interaction patterns.
